Volunteer with children and youth in foster care

At any given time, there are about 1,000 children/youth in the Santa Clara County foster care system. Every one of these children/youth has experienced trauma in the form of abuse, neglect and/or abandonment. Every one of these children/youth deserves to have a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteer. You can have an impact.

CASA volunteers visit the child/youth, monitor and advocate for progress with the social worker on the case plan, interact with professionals, submit reports to the court and make recommendations to the court. Volunteers focus on educational needs, permanent placement, medical treatment, and other resources necessary for a successful future.

Being a CASA volunteer is rewarding and meaningful. It’s a great way to “give back” to your community and make a life-long difference for very vulnerable children/youth!
